This Elk was wondering around in the Helena Valley yesterday....
Just north of Sierra Rd, close to John G mine Rd..
Hunters didn't get them all this year..

Colorado Governors tag for 2009

The guy was lucky enough to fill this special tag last week. It scored 263 gross non typical points.
The Governor tag gives you approx 4 months to fill in any public area, with any method of take.
The raffle tags are $25.00 each and somebody has to win...

The lion is held up by his tail, where it makes contact with the front leg of the Zebra.

Some nice looking cow Elk. They need to be a male Elk with brow tines to be legal to shoot.

Apparently, someone miss calculated here when getting firewood. These lines carry thousand of volts. Bet they had to clean their underwear after that blunder....
